IT work a hotbed of sex, snooze and booze

Only wake up to snog

More than half of IT workers have fessed up to having a kip at their desk, according to a new survey.

According to Harris Interactive, another half of IT workers have admitted snogging someone at work.

Men were more likely to admit doing both, only 35 per cent of women admitted kipping and 35 per cent snogging. This means that either five per cent of men were kissing other men, or they were still dreaming when they thought they were kissing.

Only hospitality workers were more lovely-dovey with coworkers than IT workers. More than 54 per cent of them get snuggly.

A quarter of IT workers say they've consumed alcohol while on the job and 23 per cent of techies have nicked something from the office. Only 12 per cent have spread a rumour about co-workers. Only three percent of tech pros admit lying about their academic background.

Snoozing at work

I've never had a day in the 3 or so years I've been in this industry that I haven't had at least 1/2hr sleep during my shift, sadly though it's an all male office so none of the snogging stuff :(

I need a new job

We dont have any time to sleep let alone make out with the five women in the dept. I need to move to wherever these people supposedly work.

Thanks, urbandictionary.com

Until today I never had to look up the words the Inq uses in its articles. Who outside of the 50,000 sq. mi. island knows what kipping and snogging is?

Now I know. And knowing is half the battle!

N!ce

So this tells us that out of IT 250 workers 7 lie about their education, 30 are rumor starters, 60 nick, 62 kip, 125 snogs. While interfacing with hospitality 60 steal items from their shaggin’ buddies, and 2 get stolen from? And of the whole group half of the kippers and shaggers also start rumors, and seven of them will believe these rumors because they were uneducated’. –Cheers!

Desperate

Having seen and worked with many women in IT, I can only say that these are desperate, desperate men.
