Apple and Apple decide that all you need is love
According to a Jobs' Mob press release, the two sides have have entered into a new agreement concerning the use of the name 'Apple' and apple logos, which replaces their 1991 agreement.
The new deal means that Jobs' Mob will own all of the trademarks related to the name 'Apple' and will license certain of those trademarks back to McCartney's mob for its continued use.
Any legal action will stop and Apple can stick its name on its iTunes software.
Apple guru and temporal ruler Steve Jobs said that he loved the Beatles and it was "painful being at odds with them over these trademarks".
It is not clear if money changed hands to sort the mess out as it seems that on the face of it Jobs' Mob has been the clear winner.
Hinting that Beatles tunes might be ending up on the iTunes bandwagon at last, Neil Aspinall, manager of McCartney's mob talked of "co-operation" with Jobs' Mob in the future. µ
