Pamela Jones gets gong
PAMELA JONES, laserlike paralegal, principled advocate for free and open source software, and founder, headmistress and editor of Groklaw, received the Knowledge Masters Award for Innovation from the Louis Round Wilson Academy, she revealed at Groklaw on Saturday.
Groklaw seeks to educate users about the law, how lawyers and the courts work, and legal concepts and processes. It has covered SCO's several lawsuits attacking the development and use of free and open source software at IBM, Novell and others.
The site has over the years expanded its reach to cover other legal topics that bear upon software freedom. It also educates attorneys and other legal professionals about free and open source software and information technologies in general. µ
