Adobe chief's son gets kidnapped

History repeats itself?
ACCORDING TO Network World, the son of the India Adobe Systems CEO was kidnapped yesterday in a town near Delhi.

Naresh Gupta's son was apparently on his way to school accompanied by a maid when two abductors attacked him in daylight in a well-to-do part of Noida, near Delhi.

The attackers got to the boy while CEO Gupta was out of the country. Supposedly IT professionals are often the targets of crime in India, thanks to the recent rise in the IT sector and the divide between rich and poor that it has created.

Right now, the abductors have not contacted the child's family or demanded a ransom for the boy.

The Noida cops said that the motive for the abduction is not yet known. µ

* THE MOST high profile IT kidnapping was of then Adobe CEO Chuck Geschke. See here.
