Chinese site launches marriage for asexuals

For those who don't wish to
AN ONLINE site in China is offering Marriage for Asexuals and acting as an Internet based marriage broker for 'asexual' people. The site says it has attracted 7,000 members since it was launched last year -2005.

Its founder, who calls himself Lin Hai, says he originally started the site for a friend who had become impotent after an accident.

However, there's still great social pressure for Chinese youngsters to marry. So the site has also proved attractive for homosexuals who want to cover up.

Plus it caters for a new social trend imported from the USA called 'Dinks' - standing for Double Income No Kids. These are youngsters who don't want to give up a good job to look after children.

Normally the Chinese government blocks or censors anything on the Internet that it doesn't like, but, according to News.com Lin said he had not received any official criticism or warnings over his site.

Lin doesn't use his real name because he's worried about their reactions from his parents and co-workers. Sadly the article doesn't give the URL. µ
