LAN gaming mat offers relaxez vous

Consumer Electronics Show Pyramat selling
ONE OF THE least businesslike things I saw at CES was the Pyramat PM300. This foldable gaming mat is perfect for those to lazy to get up off the floor, or people with overcrowded gaming areas. Lay one out in front of the TV, and you have an instant gaming space.

The PM300 is a three part foam mat with a triangular foam headrest. The three cushions wrap around the headrest, and you can pick it up with the included handle, or hide it away in the closet.

What makes this thing special is the 4-inch 25 watt speakers poking out of the side and a subwoofer added on for extra vision blurring. You can plug the game consoles audio out directly into your chair, and have that cranial rattling audio inches from your ears. Add in the fact that the subwoofer pushes air through the backrest, and you have a true bass experience. Jeeps blasting bad rap music have nothing on this, at least for the price.

It also includes a corded remote to control the volume and 'rumble' levels. Additionally, if there are not enough things rattling the floor, you can chain multiple units together for more 'thumpin bass' action, a handy feature for multi-player games.

Overall, the Pyramat PM300 looks like a handy addition to most gaming/TV/entertainment rooms. If you need more space pull one out of the closet, and flip it open for instant slacker accommodations. At $150, I sure could use two. If you don't need the speakers, or your neighbor has the aforementioned Jeep, you can always opt for the $40 PM100, it is only the cushions. µ
