And the geeks rejoiced
SUPERTALENT Technology has released its swanky Project X DDR3-2000 2GB kit.
Well, we say swanky we have to take the press release’s word for it, but we were impressed with the way that the company apparently ‘hand tested’ the DRAM chips as a matched pair on a dual channel Asus Striker II Extreme motherboard. We wonder if this means that hand-feed bits to both DDR sticks which snapped them up like hungry birds.
To be fair to Super Talent, it is they are one of the up and coming DRAM makers out there and its kit is generally getting good reviews.
The new 2000 kit has been designed for those who like to overclock the burgery out of their chips. One of the features of the chip design is that it is low and thin with double the surface area and 106 per cent more aluminium mass than standard heat spreaders.
The chip comes with a lifetime warranty and will begin shipping today at street prices under $400. µ
