Facebook helps Revenue catch villains

THE UK'S Customs & Revenue department has been using Facebook to track down villains who have 'disappeared' owing money, the INQ has learnt.
A serving Customs officer told the INQ that the social network was providing information which led to arrests and monies being recovered.
"Basically some people are very stupid," he said. Although the criminals themselves didn't create their own Facebook pages, their friends and family did.
This let Revenue officers to work out from relationships who people actually were in reality.
The officer in question claimed to have been involved in some highly successful 'busts'. So effective that certain members of the underworld were looking for him.
Hence, not only has he ensured his picture doesn't appear on Facebook, he'd even taken the precaution of changing his name by deed poll.
Of course, there is one social network which is even more useful to the authorities – Villains Reunited, of course. µ
