Watts up with the INQ solar panels?

Sizzling silicon
Tuesday, 13 March 2007, 14:45
QUITE A FEW OF our readers are interested in the fifteen solar panels we bunged on top of our roof the other week.

A Fronius datalogger helpfully churns out, er data, and though it's early days we thought we'd share some of it with you.

The system sprung to life on a rather gloomy 5th of March, but since then we've had very nice spring weather. The figure for today is for 2.30PM GMT, we've several hours of light to go yet.

Although we have still to strike a deal with the electricity suppliers, this twee picture below shows the kind of dosh the datalogger thinks we could have earned to date.

We'll bring more data when we've built up a month or two to let you know how it's sizzling. µ
