PCMark Vantage on Phenom 9900: No Overclock?

Comments

NaughtyClock

Something is amiss.

Ram
HT Link

Something has slowed a tad.

Pull up that AMD overclocking utility and take a screeny.

Please try upping the MC/HT voltage

XbitLabs found that Phenom OCs are possible if one raises the Memory-Controller/Hyper-Transport voltage from default.

Like you, they got miserable results by raising Vcore alone.

After raising the MC/HT voltage, they saw some decent OCs. Nothing like Intel but somewhat respectable.

Please give this a try,

Nick

64-bit performance

I'd be interested in seeing Core2 64-bit performance vs the Phenom.

I've no real intention of ever running a 32-bit OS again, so most 32-bit benchmarks aren't really indicative of what I'm going to see with those particular processors. Remember the Pentium Pro?
