search engines should not be liable for content on outside web sites.
"Yahoo argued that search engines should not be liable for content on outside web sites. That appeal was rejected by the Beijing Higher People's Court, the IFPI said."I dont know the details of this case and this decision would more then likley be based on some other evidence as well, but that statement on its own would be very worrying for other search engines. is it googles fault that if safe search is turned off almost anything comes up with porn?
Clue it.
I don't know why search engines try to have a chinese presence, you can't make a 'free information' service in a place where they don't allow nor like such, so why try? I guess the smell of money makes certain people on this planet blind with ravenous hunger.
They should just start selling stuff they want and the morals of the home country of the company doesn't clash with (like waterboards maybe).
yes yes yes
its about time all i hear is the internet should not be policed and companys say they wont do it its a cop out on there part not every body wants to see porn and i dont want my kids seeing porn or other weird stuff and as far as Im concerned its the search engine that take them to these is sites so for them to claim its not there fault is trash they just "dont want to do anything about it " its a complete copout good on you china and I bet we will see more of this act like adults and take some responsiblity google and stop pandering to the sick people of this worldAdd a new comment:
