Man, this guy is really a true hero! Cannot understand how does a person work as hard as him without any kind of help or support. If I had how to help him anyway I sure would do it, not only for him, who deserves, but also for the linux community, which need this kind of work.
I just bought a cheap webcam and would like to express my appreciation for his work. Too often does good work go unrewarded especially with the humble people like Mr. Michael. Thank you very much, kind sir.
Hi Michel,
I was intrigued when learned your age. I'm over 50 and still exciting with the Open Source world for many years.
Now I can see quite a bit of opportunities for old professionals.
Thanks very much for publishing this story.

Hi Michel,
You have done really great work prviding great support for open source community. I am planning to port drivers for vaious web cams for Embedded Linux for ARM platform. Can you help me in this regard.
Thanks,
Manjunath
kudos to one man for his marathon effort. i hope he gets all the good in life.
thanx to this wonderful person, now many more can build upon the work he has done, and increase support for those devices, people can buy webcams that are supported in linux, and we can pressureize the companies to release drivers to linux. at least logitech and creative should move to produce open source linux drivers, the least they can do is to start a community movement and say that they will provide all necessary equipment for free and hosting space and maybe a small incentive to the winners of those writing free drivers. the company need not even make that as thier official drivers.
its outrageous that they dont provide drivers to linux, the least they can do is to help people come up with drivers for thier OS. but i suspect microsoft to be nudging and winking at them to avoid doing just that - so that microsoft can claim only thier OS has the max support out of the box.
Merci beaucoup Michel.
Thank you for your excellent work!!!!! I wish the world had more people like you!
